It has been my pleasure to serve the St. Augustine community through some outstanding organizations. I have been the President and Chairman of the Council on Aging since 1998. I am currently Vice Chairman of the St. Johns County Welfare Federation, Buckingham Smith Benevolent Association, Rotary Club of St. Augustine (currently), (formerly) board member of Flagler Hospital, Flagler Hospital Foundation, CHILD Cancer Fund, American Cancer Society, St. Augustine Art Association, founding board member of FIRST TEE of St. Johns County, the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum Inc. (President) and Mayor of the City of St. Augustine for 8 years (2006-2014).
It was my association with the Lighthouse, (a premier project of the JSL), that gives me the passion to raise funds for their beneficiaries. (My wife Jane is a former President of the JSL and of the Light Keepers Committee that accomplished the amazing Lighthouse renovation gifted to the community. I have immense passion for her!)
I am pleased and proud to be the JSL candidate and hope to raise lots of funds!
It took one weekend getaway to beautiful St. Augustine back in 2005 for Nick & his wife Christie to know this is where they wanted to start their family and become members of our community. Nick loves spending time with his wife Christie and two children Sofia and Maximo. He also loves being out on his paddleboard exploring our beautiful waterways.
Nick is proud to work with Honoring the Brave, an organization that supports Veterans and First Responders in St. Augustine as well as Hospital Creek Rowing, a group of water activity enthusiasts that help keep our waterways clean.
Nick is so pleased to support JSL this year.
After years of vacationing to St. Augustine, Ashley was thrilled to call the oldest city home when she moved here in the fall of 2008 to attend Flagler College. Additionally, she ran for the women’s cross country team and volunteered with the local Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
Committed to our community, Ashley enjoys spending time volunteering at the Wildflower Clinic helping to make healthcare accessible to St. Johns County residents. An outdoor enthusiast, she loves being out on the water fishing and running the trails at the local state parks.
Ashley is excited at the opportunity to further give back to the community through her pledge to volunteer her time fundraising for local non-profit organizations in St. Johns County by running for Junior Service Leagues Gala Society Queen.
